Here is Our Up-to-Date Review of the Best Refillable Pod Vape Systems for Vapers and Smokers
There are so many ultra-portable Pod Vapes on the market, it’s getting harder and harder to find the best ones. Even articles that list the top sellers can get outdated within a few weeks. It’s also not uncommon for some pod vapes to be discontinued.
We’ve waited a few months to present our list of the top Pod Vape devices and we promise to update this post as new (and better) systems become available.
All of our choices are “Open System” devices. That means you can add your own e-liquid. “Closed System” devices have pods that contain the manufacturer’s e-liquids. That can be limiting and they can prove to be more costly in the long run.
Our ratings are based on reliability, style, versatility and overall value for cost.
The 5 Best Pod Vape Systems

The powerful, button activated 1100 mAh battery keeps a charge for more than a day. Pods hold a nice 3 mL of e-liquid.
Nord was one of the first pod vapes to come with two replaceable atomizers – a 1.4ohm MTL coil (great for regulary e-juices and nic salts) and a 0.6ohm mesh coil for full flavored sub-ohm/direct lung vaping.

Since the coils are subohm, this device works best with high VG e-liquids.
Unique to this device is the wattage mode which has three settings – Soft, Normal and Hard.
The SMOK RPM80 Pro kit comes complete with 2 refillable pods – an RPM80 Pod with a mesh 0.4ohm atomizer, and an RPM80 RGC Pod with a 0.17ohm Coil Preinstalled. Both work best with high VG e-juices.
A unique hybrid “Pod Mod”, you can also adjust the wattage to up to 80W. Flavor and vapor production are amazing.

The NOVO 2 is portable, affordable, and easy to use. Just charge the battery, fill the pod with any 50/50 vape juice and vape. No buttons needed.
While the pods only hold 2ml of e-juice, you get 2 of them. A mesh coil and a dual MTL coil.
Expect great flavor, ample vapor, a milder throat hit and no leaking.

If so, you’ll enjoy this popular vape pod mod. That said, the Aspire Breeze NXT takes a bit more work than the other vape pod systems we’ve featured here, since it has more parts to it.
There are five in all
- a battery
- a pod with a huge 5.7 ml capacity. (You can use both nic salts and regular e-liquid)
- atomizer coils – a 0.6ohm Coil and a 1.0ohm Coil (for use with nicotine salts)
- a mouthpiece
- side airflow
There are also three buttons – a fire button and two pod-release buttons.
On the plus side, the refillable pod is easy to clean and has a rotational airflow adjustment. The 1000 mAh battery really lasts.
Conclusion:
Refillable Pod Vape systems are great for beginners, smokers, or any vaper looking for an easy to use, lightweight e-cig that delivers great vapor and full flavor.
We’ve recommended 5 of the best refillable pod vape models, all known to be reliable and affordable.
Some are basic charge, fill and vape systems, while others let you customize your pod vape for added flavor, vapor and throat hit.

Do you have any tips on how to fix a leaking Mico pod? I bought some from VesaVape and I thought I got a defective pack, but they sent a replacement and still the same issue. I read many people have had issues with some of the mico’s being leaky or defective.

Vaporfi recommends that you check the rubber plug to make sure that it is properly inserted into the pod, and never fill above the maximum e-liquid line. Hope that helps!
Hi Gary, thanks for your reply. Yes it is spelt that way on the box, I’ve checked it twice lol. “Liquorice”. The smok nord us still working for me just fine. I’m even contemplating buying another one. Glad too that I’m finally off the roll ups and cigs altogether. Vaping has really helped with the cravings rather than using, patches and the gum! Yuk! Enjoy the ” Liquorice” if you can find it, it’s really nice, for me anyway. Good Luck and thanks again. Cheers. Razor
Hi, Im new to vaping, gave up the cigs end of Feb and glad I did. I’ve been rolling my own since 1976…..I Know.
Better late than never so they say. Anyway I started vaping with a KiK O2 Pen, got on well with it after seeking expert advice at my local E Cigs outlet, thanks Graham. Having to charge the battery up every day, I needed a second device so back to Graham. I’m only wanting MTL vaping. I did some research and a couple of devices shone out for me as being simple to set up, use and maintain, coils etc. I went to see Graham and he steered me towards a SMOK NORD, which he uses himself. I bought it with 2 replacement 1.4 Coils and went on my way. Got it home, set it up and WOW! what a difference to my KiK Pen. I get a better stronger taste from my e-liquid, 16mg Liqourice and it suits me just fine. I would recommend this little device which fits well in the hand, travels well in the pocket, no leaks and battery monitoring lights and it is so simple to fit the coil and fill the pod. Highly recommended and many thanks again to Graham. No cigs at all, thanks to vaping. Doc will be pleased when I see him next.

Hi Razor,
Thanks for your comment and it’s great that you’ve given up those rolled ciggies. I love my SMOK Nord too – what a game changer. Hmm, I’ll have to try some Liquorice e-juice!..haven’t seen it spelled that way since I left the UK years ago :).
Also glad your 1.4 coils are working well. Cheers!
