VaporFi VOX TC Mod Review

UPDATE! VAPORFI HAS UPGRADED THE VOXII, AND IT’S NOW CALLED THE VOX TC MOD AND IT’S ON SALE NOW FOR ONLY $25

I’ve been a fan of VaporFi for years and I admire the fact that the company keeps up with product improvements and vape product safety. With the introduction of their VOX TC MOD, the company has joined the ranks of the best producers of high powered vaporizers.

Vaporfi’s new and improved version of the VOXII is simply called the VOX. It incorporates the same power, performance and protection features as the original version, but now it’s got TC – Temperature Control.

That means you set your preferred temperature and your vape will never overheat. You’ll also never get a dry hit.

It still has a removable battery and I’m impressed that it’s included in the kit.  More advanced TC Mods usually don’t include them.

Wider Range of Acceptable Tanks

I’m a big fan of Vaporfi’s tanks, and the VOX has an even wide range of compatible tanks…. even a non TC tank. Just set the mode to POWER instead of TEMPERATURE MODE. That said, you have to be really mindful of your type of atomizer!

TC Vaping Requires Only These Atomizer Types

Nickel (Ni200) Titanium (TI), and my preferred choice, Stainless Steel (SS316 & 316L).

Kanthal and nichrome atomizers DO NOT WORK with a TC vaporizer or the VOX when you put it in TC mode.

LED Display Screen

The LED screen does look a bit different than the one on the earlier model, but it still displays Voltage, Ohms and Wattage. The TC mode shows Temperature, Ohms, and wattage.

You still get those on-screen warnings for low resistance, temp & power overload, and the like.  All High voltage MODS are definitely not toys and you need to say focused during operation. Be mindful of all the warnings and disclaimers that come with this MOD! It’s a powerhouse and if you’re not responsible, you can cause injury to yourself and others.

Here’s What In the Box:

  • 1 x VOX® TC MOD
  • 1 x IMR 18650 Rechargeable Battery
  • 1 x USB Cable
  • 1 x User Manual

Here are the Features:

  • Adjustable Output Power from 5 w – 50 w (in 0.1 w increments)
  • Temperature range: 200-600 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Accepts Atomizer Resistance from 0.05 ohm (sub) – 2.5 ohm (kanthal and nickel wires)
  • Digital OLED Screen
  • Output Voltage Range: 1.0 v – 7.5 v
  • Input Voltage: 3.2 v – 4.2 v
  • 510 Threading with Spring Loaded Pin

  • Vented Battery Casing

One thing I should mention is that if you need to use a Wall Chargers/adapter, make sure it has an input of 100-240 V 50HZ-60HZ and an Output of 5V/500 mah.

Some Helpful Hints on Using Vaporfi’s Vox Mod

1- Make sure your battery is fully connected, or the wall charger light will not turn green even when your battery is fully charged. Just activate the display on the VOX and view the digital icon of the battery. I also recommend you shake the MOD before charging. If it rattles, your battery is not making full contact.

2- When adding new e-liquid to your tank, hold the entire MOD upside down. Unscrewing the base is tricky (it’s located flush with the battery) and you can wind up unscrewing the tank from the atomizer. Holding the MOD upside down will prevent your e-juice from spilling.

3- Charge your VOX using the USB cable. It does take longer than using a wall charger adapter, but you can vape while it charges. On the upside, the battery can hold a charge for several days depending on your vaping habits.

VaporFi’s ads for the VOX made me think it was strictly for advanced vapers; those who love to experiment with variable voltage, wattage and Ohm resistance levels to perfect their vaping experience. Not so. If you’re seeking deeply satisfying flavor and full vapor production, the simplicity of the VOX Kit combined with the safety features make it a great choice for both intermediate as well as advanced vapers.

I am also allergic to pg. Vaping ain’t worth all this bs. I used to LOVE it, however since my favorite local vape shop vapor eyes shut down and they were the only ones who offered pg free flavors. Having a migraine every day sucks. The allergic reaction of my throat swelling and debillitating migraines is NOT worth the risk of an untrustworthy buyer. I had hoped for an easy smoking alternative but what I got was a complete and utter waste of money. Guess that’s what I get for being naive and believing in a propaganda industry that has gone to hell with the rest of the world.
